Grade The Celtics Offseason

He was the one making all of the moves.

He was the one making all of the moves.

The offseason is coming to an end as training camp nears. Without a doubt this was one summer for the ages. The franchise changed direction completely and radically.

Not judging, a whole lot happened in the last few months.

Doc Rivers was moved to the Clippers in exchange for a 2015 first rounder. He was replaced by former Butler head coach, 36 year old Brad Stevens.

Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Terry were traded to the Brooklyn Nets and the Celtics acquired Kris Humphries –and his big expiring contract– Gerald Wallace and his not so nice contract, Marshon Brooks, Keith Bogans, and three first round picks in 2014, ‘16, and ‘18.

On draft night the Celtics got Kelly Olynyk at 13th and then bought pick 53 to draft Colton Iverson, who will play in Europe next season.

The team also signed rookies Phil Pressey, a point guard who played for the Celtics on Summer League, and big man Vitor Faverani, who lastly played in Spain.

Then, Shavlik Randolph and Terrence Williams were waived.

The latest move was trading Fab Melo to Memphis for the non-guaranteed contract of Donte Greene.

So that has been the Celtics offseason so far.

Now we want you to grade what Danny Ainge has done. Do you think he has done a good job? Do you think he lost his mind? Let us know in the following poll.

  1. My grade is a B.

Brad Stevens was one hell of a hire,Marshon Brooks comes with great potential, and we have a huge trade exception to use next summer.

    Bravo, Danny
