Well its nice to end the night with a Celtics win from time to time, right?
The C’s played a really good all around game tonight to sneak out of Atlanta with a win. It says even more that this came in the second night of a back to back.
The offensive end won it tonight for the Celtics while it also nearly took it away from them.
The ball was moving, the offense was flowing, everyone was scoring, and the Celtics were right there with Atlanta.
Then things startedt to get ugly. Once again, because of turnovers. The Celtics turned it over time and time again in the second half and each and every single time they did Atlamnta seemed to be able to take advantage and score. It was looking like Atlanta will take the home win, mainly because the Celtics just didn’t want to win.
Jordan Crawford could not hit a shot in thew entire game but then managed to score 1o fourth quarter points to lead the Celtics to the win. He attacked the rim twice for beautiful layups, hit a jumper, and then didn’t miss his free throws. He was the reason the Celtics were able to win it at then end.
This game is a win for everyone around the C’s, tanking division and non-tanking division.
For one, it makes the Hawks pick worse (we could end up with their pick or Brooklyn’s, whichever is worse). On the other side, the Celtics finally end that losing streak that can kill any team even if they know they’ll lose a whole lot.
So tonight was important for the Celtics.
A tweet to sumarize this game? Here it is:
This has been a really gritty comeback. A lot of resolve for a team that could have been really deflated by six straight losses.—
